Shipping Policy

Shipping Policy

At YJ Umbrella, we provide international shipping support for custom umbrella samples, bulk production orders, OEM projects, ODM orders, and logo printed umbrellas.

This Shipping Policy explains our general shipping process, available methods, estimated delivery times, and buyer responsibilities for international B2B orders.

1. Shipping Scope

We can arrange shipment to many international destinations, depending on the order quantity, product type, shipping method, and destination country or region.

Our shipping support may include:

  • Sample delivery by express courier
  • Small order shipment by courier or air freight
  • Bulk order shipment by sea freight
  • Export packaging support
  • Carton marking and shipping label support
  • Coordination with buyer-appointed freight forwarders
  • Basic export document support where applicable

2. Shipping Methods

Shipping methods are selected based on order size, delivery urgency, budget, and destination.

Express Courier

For samples or small urgent shipments, we may use international courier services such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, or similar providers.

Express shipping is usually faster but more expensive than sea freight.

Air Freight

Air freight may be suitable for medium-volume shipments that require faster delivery than sea freight.

Air freight cost depends on chargeable weight, carton size, destination airport, and local handling fees.

Sea Freight

Sea freight is commonly used for bulk umbrella orders, especially for large quantities, heavy cartons, or cost-sensitive shipments.

Sea freight is usually more economical for B2B orders, but transit time is longer and may vary depending on shipping routes, vessel schedules, port conditions, and customs clearance.

Buyer-Appointed Forwarder

If you have your own freight forwarder in China, we can coordinate delivery to the agreed warehouse, port, or logistics address after order completion and balance payment.

3. Production Time vs. Shipping Time

Please note that production time and shipping time are different.

Production time refers to the time needed to manufacture the umbrellas after order confirmation, artwork approval, material preparation, and deposit payment.

Shipping time refers to the time needed to deliver the goods after production is completed and shipment is arranged.

Estimated timelines should always be confirmed before order placement.

4. Estimated Shipping Time

Shipping time depends on the selected method and destination.

General estimates:

  • Express courier: usually several business days after dispatch
  • Air freight: usually faster than sea freight, depending on flight and customs schedule
  • Sea freight: usually several weeks, depending on destination port and shipping route

These are only general estimates. Final delivery time may be affected by customs clearance, weather, port congestion, peak season, local holidays, inspection, logistics delays, or other events beyond our control.

For online or distance sales, sellers should have a reasonable basis for stated shipping timeframes, and if shipment cannot be made within the promised time, delay consent or refund handling may be required under relevant rules such as the FTC Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule.

5. Shipping Cost

Shipping costs are calculated based on:

  • Product type
  • Carton size
  • Gross weight and volume weight
  • Quantity
  • Shipping method
  • Destination country or region
  • Delivery address
  • Trade terms
  • Fuel surcharge and logistics conditions

Unless otherwise agreed, shipping costs are quoted separately from product costs.

6. Customs Duties, Taxes, and Import Fees

International buyers are responsible for import duties, customs clearance charges, VAT, local taxes, destination port fees, brokerage fees, and other destination-side charges unless otherwise agreed in writing.

YJ Umbrella is not responsible for delays caused by customs inspection, incomplete import licenses, local regulations, or buyer-side clearance issues.

7. Shipping Documents

Depending on the order and shipping method, we may provide basic export-related documents such as:

  • Commercial invoice
  • Packing list
  • Carton information
  • Product description
  • Shipping marks
  • Other documents agreed before shipment

If you need special documents, certificates, customs codes, country-of-origin documents, or specific invoice formats, please inform us before order confirmation.

8. Packaging for Shipment

We use export cartons and suitable packing methods according to the product type and order requirements.

Custom packaging, retail boxes, branded cartons, barcode labels, hang tags, inner boxes, or special pallet requirements should be confirmed before production. Additional costs may apply.

9. Delivery Address

The buyer is responsible for providing accurate shipping information, including company name, contact person, phone number, address, postal code, destination port, and any special delivery instructions.

YJ Umbrella is not responsible for delays, extra charges, or failed delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by the buyer.

10. Risk and Responsibility

Risk transfer depends on the agreed trade terms, such as EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP, or other written arrangements.

For international B2B orders, shipping responsibility, insurance, customs clearance, and local delivery should be clearly confirmed before shipment.

11. Shipping Damage or Shortage

If goods are damaged or cartons are missing during transportation, please contact us as soon as possible and provide:

  • Photos of damaged cartons
  • Photos or videos of damaged products
  • Shipping labels
  • Carton numbers
  • Delivery receipt
  • Inspection report, if available

Claims must be supported by clear evidence. If the shipment was handled by the buyer’s appointed forwarder, claims may need to be filed directly with the forwarder or carrier.

12. Delays Beyond Our Control

We are not responsible for shipping delays caused by customs, carrier delays, port congestion, flight cancellation, weather, strikes, public holidays, force majeure, incorrect buyer information, or destination-side clearance problems.

We will, however, assist with reasonable communication and shipment tracking where possible.
